Possible Downtime

Hi All

There is possible downtime today. I am having the server security checked out by an expert. It has not been hacked or broken into. There have been some issues with the server getting what appears to be a DDOS attack of some sort, but I'm not entirely sure that is the cause.

So while I beleive I'm very knowledgable about this stuff and beleive that the server is secure, I do realize that I'm not an expert and the company I've hired is. This will help prevent issues from arrising in the future, and may fix the problem I've been having recently.

In the process they may be upgrading various software on the server so it is possible things might break. OK so it's highly likely! LOL It is possible nothing will break but you know how computers are :D

I'll be around all day to fix any issues. I should be on Live Support most of the day too so if you come across any problems let me know ;-)

There is possible downtime today.

I noticed some delays but they happen from time to time anyway, so I didn't really thing much about it.

Business as usual.

The only hiccup I noticed today is that there were no daily team credits.

The splash page appears to be broken. Each time I've seen it today, it has said 108 members. We've been way above that most of the day.

Well that's interesting. The cron jobs are all not running.

Daily views just reset at 21:45 EST.

I think I fixed it but only one way to find out.. time =P

Well, time DID tell. Most of us didn't get our daily surfing bonuses when the cron ran again at the normal time because we either weren't surfing at the time or were surfing but didn't surf 20 or 100 pages during that short time.

So I'm sure most of the members were affected by this glitch - I know I was because I have neither bonus today.
