UPDATE: Team Stats / Weekly Competition

Hi All

I apologize for a rocky start to our new weekly competitions. Unfortunately the backups were way way out of date. I've been working all day on setting up a second backup solution (you could call it the backup backup) for the databases.

I still don't know why the first backup solution is out of date. I may have fixed it but I'm not 100% sure. Will keep trying, but at least the databases will now be backed up properly and through another provider (I use The Planet and one of their datacenters had an explosion which took the entire place offline. This will allow me to get the site back online even if that were to happen)

So the good news is these bumps weren't crucial, and I found out about them before it was too late. I realize that you worked hard at surfing and the prizes are a great reward, but I ask that you please forgive me on this account for these few days.

I've used http://www.powweb.com since 1998, very low cost and super fast server.
I back up Smileytraffic there as well as computer apps/files/etc..

1,500 GB disk space
15,000 GB monthly transfer

I pay $93.24 a year and also run QualityPageViews from there which differs that cost.
They only allow 1024 queries to database per minute so it keeps out, traffic exchanges, PTC, PTR, search sites, etc... from slowing down servers.

Excellent Uptime, usually 3-4 hours a year of maint. and upgrading downtime.

Gives me a Massive storage place for peanuts!
They are running a $3.88 special this month!

With Password Protecting folders and a proper htaccess file, your info is safe!
