Hello,

I would like to know peoples opinions of Hover Surf. Not the individual sites using them, but what you really think. As a TE Owner that has offered Hover Surfing on my exchange I have actually found that the majority of members could really care less. I know that I actually find myself clicking because it is quicker that way, also it seems no matter what the exchange you are surfing it hangs once in awhile.

Appreciate your opinions?

LOL, that would be a good ID. Can I edit the poll or do I need to start a new one?

I think it can slow down the whole surfing experience so I voted for that

Personally, I enjoy the hover surfing experience, to me it's almost like a manual surf without the clicking. Than again as I have said before I'm not a real picky person either, and I do pay attention to each individual site no matter if it's an auto surf, manual surf, or this latest one hover surfing. But to each his/her own. :)

Years ago I used Hover Banners, They got lots of response. If it was placed right over or under the timer frame ,every time they moved to click ,they passed over the banner opening my page. I haven't tried the Hover TE's

What is hover surfing??

hover surfing is where instead of clicking a symbol you hover your mouse pointer over it and the page moves on automatically without clicking

In many TEs already is updated this surfing system. It's nice and i like it.
And it's more restful for our fingers/hands/arms.
It's just a new habit matter. I'm sure earlier or later on most of the TEs' owners will use this system.

My friendly regards,
Erzsebet

I don't like it. My experience is that my finger is already over the mouse button, and it is more stressful not to use it. And to be sitting and waiting for you mouse to be recognized.

It has pro's and con's to it. I miss many bonuses because when I go to click them I keep sliding my mouse over the hover link so I miss the bonuses. I think they need to move the bonus links to a different spot. It's usally pretty quick and it's nice not to have to click.

I like the hover surfs that don't have the delay. The ones with the delay to me take longer than clicking. But fast hovers...yep, I admit I like them!

Clicking or hovering, it's irrelevant. A big mistakes quite a few TE owners make is that they have way too much going on in the surfbar as such - or even the surfbar and the other top or bottom bar - blowout banners, click the banner for 2 credits, keep your eyes peeled for a surprise prize, read the quotes as a splashpoints offer might appear .... All of the focus goes to the bars. If you combine that with 6 second timers odds are small you have the time to take notice of any site, which means noone will take notice of yours. Surfing these TEs is a waste of time, wether you click, hover or whistle at it. (lol)

I have not tried hover surfing, think I will stand on the sideline while the programmers work to kick all the bugs out.
Having joined more than a few TEs, so I am not really looking for new ones at this time.

Hi,

I am somewhat indifferent about it so I voted could care less. I am thinking that hover surf would be easier for those that want to cheat. I also notice that once in awhile my pointer goes over the hoover spot when I go from tab to tab, and thus lose out on something that I would have been interested in.

However, it doesn't seem to slow things down, because you move the mouse over the spot and move on.

To me it is a gimmick which adds nothing to my surfing experience.

I love it. Though I do agree with missing out on some bonuses is a bummer. I have to remember to avoid the hover icon to click on the bonus. It does give my clicking button a rest. Sometimes I click an icon more than once without meaning to.

Diamond-surf has the word click over the image you are supposed to hover over, and that is why many click instead of hovering. The reason I like hover surf is because it is easier than clicking and reduces wear on my mouse.

I tend to pay less attention to the sites while hover surfing than when clicking. I usually find the right image to click and then pause briefly to look at the site, but with hover surf I can't do that because it just goes, which doesn't do much for the responsiveness of the sites and can't be a good thing for the effectiveness of TEs.

Never tried Hover surfing. I figure I can click faster and just don't
see the novelty. I guess I should try it sometime.

LOL I forgot about missing bonuses. Yea I did that.

I also think hover will be less effective. Last time I hovered at the library I hovered on 4 TEs while I was reading my E-mail.

Did I look at the sites? I did look at sites on another computer where I was doing traditional clicking.

I was kind of thinking and forgot about it until now. Anyway, I was thinking, of going to hover surfing and buying hits at traditional TEs.

I don't want to carpel myself out clicking. I take lots of breaks. I think hover will be good for people with bad wrists. I think it will be more effective then auto surfs and less effective then traditional clicking.

I like it Very Much, and my carpel Really Loves it :)

I work with computers. When you click as much as I do everyday, it is a real relief to be able to surf without clicking.

best wishes

I voted Not liking hover surfing at all. There are so many TE's out there now that offer hoversurf abut sadly a ton of these are not anti cheat proof at all. To me its a waste of time and its faster clicking then hovering over it anyways.
Oh and plus clicking keeps peoples clicking fingers ready to click on my ads ;) lol

I find it slows down the surfing. Specially when the image disappears, lol. And that happens a lot on some sites. So I end up moving my mouse back and forth and finally say the heck with it and just click, much faster.

I tried it once. Needless to say,
for those that like, go for it.
I won't be using it anytime soon
unless I'm forced into it. I'll stick
to the old fashioned way of clicking.

I sure sites that have "Hover" and really don't like it.
Most times I miss the credit or game page. Most times
just because my mouse hits the click area.

Really quite a bummer.

I also dislike the out of control aspect of moving a cursor and getting an unexpected click.

Being in this business since day one, I have seen a lot of trends come and go. I think Hover surfing is here to stay, but I also think it will cater to a specific niche within the traffic exchanges.

It's fun, but I like my manual surfing more. Just a personal preference.

Don't like hover surfing because it takes away from the quality of the site and the sites being advertised.

I have been hovering for a while and I enjoy it because I tend to hammer too hard on the mouse button and keyboard. My hands, fingers and wrists thank you :)
Maybe my mouse and keyboard will last longer too LOL

Jury is still out on the results. Most hover sites - that I know of AND belong to - are new and have few members, I will need to start seeing some signups one day or are we just having blind bats hovering over the surfbar while reading a book?

I don't like the hover surf as it is easier to hover over the wrong image than it is to click it.

I belong to one hover surf Te, and I don't see any advantage over clicking. In fact, I can click the proper color faster than I can hover over it.

Why are you hammering on the keyboard when you are surfing TE's? All I need for surfing is my mouse.
