Hi All
Well I didn't realize it, but vBulletin now has social groups built in. My template is for an older version so it didn't add in a link. Now I added it in. Feel free to create social groups as you see fit.
Ideas - Create your own master mind group - Create a group for the program you are promoting - Use your imagination!
As long as it's not abused, and used for helping you or your business I'm going to keep it going. I might periodically prune groups that have little members or activity. So there you go!

I thought you left out the groups on purpose. :D Cool though, maybe it'll help people see that competitions aren't the only way to play together. Will group posts count the same as regular forum posts for activity points?

Not sure about the post count, if the forum counts it then yes =P

Has anyone tried it? If so, what is your experience with it?

I like the groups feature. You're welcome to join the Wading Pool group, it's open to all SXC members, and start chatting. A group is pretty much like an ongoing forum thread.

I'm new to social networking, but I have to say that I love it. You can promote you, which is what marketing is all about. We shouldn't be hiding behind affiliate websites. In order to be successful, people need to know that they are dealing with people.
Social networking has also helped with SEO rankings of all my websites.
It's only scary, because we haven't done it before.
Sincerely,
Terry

Switch to the EVO theme. Several features are missing in the EVO Orange theme.

Thank you very much Ms. Beejay. I was wondering where the link was. I thought I must have been blind or something. Thanks again.

You are very welcome, always glad to be of assistance when I can :)
As Inge pointed out to me, it is because the default forum skin is not showing the links like it is supposed to...if you change to the red one, all the links show up instead of just the -x- that you see on the orange one...
God Bless and Keep on surfing everyday to 100 page views plus
Maybe you'll be next on the Daily Random Drawing Winner's List!

I guess I thought Inge's message was for Tim about changing skins. How do I do that, and why would I want to use different skins?
Still learning.

Terry

At the very bottom of each forum page is a drop down box. Select "CA Evo (fixed)", this is the forum skin that appears to work correctly.
