Let's talk about the User Control Panel (User CP (http://forums.startxchange.com/usercp.php))...This is the only place in the forum where you can add your Outside Advertising Links besides any website(s) & banner(s) that you have or will be adding into rotation...
Once you access the "Control Panel (http://forums.startxchange.com/usercp.php)," you will see a Menu Bar as follows:
Settings & Options
Edit Signature (http://forums.startxchange.com/profile.php?do=editsignature)...After clicking the link, you will see an "Editor" where you can enter your advertising which is limited to 4 lines only

After finishing inputting your content, you click on the "Save Signature" button...
Edit Email & Password (http://forums.startxchange.com/profile.php?do=editpassword)...This one is self-explanatory. You enter your current password to continue if you wish to change your Password...You enter it twice and the same goes for your email address. After you have finished, click on the "Save Changes" button...
Edit Options (http://forums.startxchange.com/profile.php?do=editoptions)...Login & Privacy
Use -Invisible Mode- This allows you to browse the forum without appearing in the 'Currently Active Users' lists...Check the Box if you want to Use Invisible Mode
Allow -vCard Download- You may choose to allow other users to download a vCard containing your email address and username. If you prefer to keep your email address private, do not allow vCard downloads...Check the Box if you want to Allow vCard Download
Messaging & Notification
-Receive Email- The Administrator may want to send you email notices. If you do not want to receive these notices, disable this option. Check the Box if you want to Receive Email from Administrator
-Default Thread Subscription Mode- When you post a new thread, or reply to a topic, you can choose to automatically add that thread to your list of subscribed threads (http://forums.startxchange.com/subscription.php), with the option to receive email notification of new replies to that thread. Do not subscribe --- No email notification --- Instant email notification --- Daily email notification --- Weekly email notification...Default Thread Subscription Mode: choose from the drop down selection
-Private Messaging- This forum features a private messaging system (http://forums.startxchange.com/private.php), which allows members to send messages to one another privately. If you do not want to send or receive private messages, you may disable the private messaging system...Check the Box if you want to Enable Private Messaging
The forum can send a message to your email address to inform you when someone sends you a private message...Check the Box or Leave Blank Receive Email Notification of New Private Messages
If you are browsing the forums when you receive a new private message, the system can pop-up a notification box informing you of the new message...Check the Box if you want to Show New Private Message Notification Pop-up
Thread Display Options...You choose to show or not show your signature
Date & Time Options...Choose your particular Time Zone
Miscellaneous Options...Choose your editing mode and Forum Skin
After you have finished making your selections in each of the listed "Options," be sure to click on the "Save Changes" button!
Edit Avatar / Photo (http://forums.startxchange.com/profile.php?do=editavatar)...Avatars are small graphics that are displayed under
your username whenever you post. You can use a Custom Avatar...
You may upload a new custom image using the controls below.
Option 1 - Enter the URL to the Image on Another Website

Option 2 - Upload Image From Your Computer (click the browse button)
Note: The maximum size of your custom image is 60 by 60 pixels or 19.5 KB (whichever is smaller).
When finished, click the "Save Changes" button...
