I can't find a place on the new forum like we had on the old forum so I am posting here.

I use the rotator but have never made a decent splash page on my own. I am a total newbie to the concept. I was wondering if anyone knows where I can find a detailed walkthru of how to use this feature? I haven't found anything that speaks to the total newbie, like me.

Hi Thirstan,

I think you should forward the explanations in SXC's training and then request a specifical support.

This is a common question. I hope to answer it in the near future with a video tutorial ;-)

Tim,

I think I am in love! Ok, might be a little strong. Anyway, thanks for the great video on TEtoolbox splash page making. Awesome video. :D:p;):D

The video is here (http://www.timlinden.com/blog/traffic-exchanges/video-create-a-splashpage-with-tetoolbox/), I hope! Anyone can learn how to do this.

I agree. The splash page maker is simple to use and works mint! I love the tracking feature as well - it really makes it easy to see what pages are pulling and which ones are basically wasting credits.

Thanks Tim!

Best,
Scott

Hey Tim,
The Video is great.
Now Tetoolbox needs a link to it or even just put in on the first page you see when you sign into TE. It needs to open in a new window so the new member can refer to it while creating their splash.
Thanks,
Ruth

Hello, I'm wondering whether you subscribe to Tim Linden's Blog? About a week or 2 ago Tim sent an email on exactly THIS TEtolbox usage and I still have the email if you would like me to forward it. Inside the email he has a little video clip that I found helpful.

Personally, I often create (dabble) with a page and then take that page and log into various chat areas and request people's opinion... just be straight forward with them & explain that you are new to this biz & creating splashes and REQUEST CONSTRUCTIVE CRITISIZM... generally, the people you meet are very helpful (at least that's been my experience)

I've been dabbling online for almost 2 years now and have many friends also. provide you some feedback.
I don't mind giving you my opinion if you'd care to email me directly, feel free to!! :)

In the meantime, contact me and I can forward you that BLOG page which you will find very helpful!

Take care!

Rhonda - Stephen (thirstan) posted a link to that blog post. I made the video as a result of this thread, but thanks for pointing it out though! And you are right, most people are very helpful, especially around here!

Hello. I was not able to access the video tutorial for some reason...
I have made a nice looking splash page, HOWEVER, I could not figure out if there is a way to add an opt-in box. I tried to add some java script, but it ended up posted all over the splash page where I wanted the opt-in to be. grrr...very frustrating.
Can someone help? If TEtoolbox does not work with javascript, please tell me if there is another way to add the opt-in box. I would appreciate anyone's help here as I am fairly new to this sort of thing.
Blessings and shalom,
~machlanit

HiMachlanit,

TEToolbox splash pages do not accept javascript (other than those pre-installed by Tim), there is a little warning next to the Save Changes button
" Please do not attempt to add any scripts, iframes, sound, adult content, etc to the splash pages. Users found doing so will have their account removed. "

If you want to use a opt-in box, you will have to use html not javascript.

Hope this helps :)

If you upgrade on StartXchange, you will get upgraded on TEtoolbox...

You will also need to enter your tetoolbox username into the box on your startxchange members page under
