I'm actually backing off surfing, so I can put my attention to other marketing efforts. I have to say that I like staying connected here, because I enjoy visiting people and making new friends.

Sincerely,
Terry

I surf for a few reasons:
1. I am in a team and surfing benefits me and others.
2. To keep ahead and see whats happening
3.I am a little addicted to surfing

But you can not rely on surfing alone to make things work. My mailing list, blogs, articles, ads and banners all add to the recipe..

I think whi people surf ?

Some people want to make money, some want to try
something new/fun or connect with other people.

I personally like all of the above, but nobody can do
much of anything without money.

It may seem like you may not be interested in viewing ads over and over all day, I once thought that too, that I had everything I needed. But I was wrong! I've found many great new programs and resources that have helped me more than I could imagine! Surfing is a great experience and quite wonderful that we get to contribute our own material.

TEing can be quite addicting.

My question is 'Who really cares about what you (general term) are promoting, if all you are doing is trying to build up credits?'

Sincerely,
Terry

And that is why what you are promoting has to catch the surfers attention, why it has to have a strong message offering something the surfers wants or needs :)

That is true. You have to match the prospects wants or needs. I still think you are missing the point. Most people don't want your message/products/schemes/etc., because they are more interested in selling you their message/products/schemes/etc. The only time they are going to look at something else is when their stuff isn't working in hopes that yours will be the one. Isn't that really a vicious cycle. It sounds like "screw" the other person before you get "screwed". I'm saying that it doesn't have to be that way.

In sincerely,
Terry

Voted Money, But for me its not just all about money. Ive grown up on TE's since i was 13 so its in my blood now for say lol. It has to be one of the best ways still to advertise out there. Break down all the fancy stuff and you still need TE's to bring in new eyes to your page. The world goes around on TE's :)

Ceurillion, I don't mean anything bad about this, but you may need a transfusion. I'd remind that we are in the information age. People are not going to surf the traffic exchanges, because most people don't even know what a traffic exchange is. People are going to get their information off the search engines like Google, Yahoo, etc. If they are getting there information and products there, they don't need a traffic exchange.

Sincerely,
Terry
