Give Thanks

Something else that's cool, you can click on "Thanks" next to a post to publicly say Thanks! if you found that post helpful!

Okay - so where do we find how many people thank us?
(just in case we need an ego boost)

If you click on your profile, it'll show you. So far the only way to view your own profile I've found is by clicking on your username in a post you made, and then clicking view profile. I'm going to see if I can find a way to add that in somewhere easier.


On the profile is a section for thanks, it says how many times you thanked someone and how many times you've been thanked. It also has links to show the posts that had the thanks given ;-)

If you press the user cp link on the top bar, it takes you to your profile.

Okay - so where do we find how many people thank us?

If you look at the right hand side of your id bar at the top of each post you make, you will see it says:
Join Date:
Posts:
Thanks:
Thanked x times in y posts.

The first is obvious, when you joined - which for everyone here will be Mar 2008
The second is equally ovious - how many posts you have made here
The third is how many times you have submitted thanks to members for a post they made
The last is the number of times you were thanked, and the number of different posts you were thanked for.

So, for example, mine says

Join Date: Mar 2008
Posts: 8
Thanks: 0
Thanked 2 times in 1 post
