Hi All
When you join a team, you will not be able to switch teams for 30 days. You can leave the team at any time and be teamless if you really want, but you won't be able to join another team until the 30 days are up.
There is one exception: If you are booted, you will not have to wait the 30 days. Many new members join their referer's team when signing up, and may not know about the surfing requirements for that team. If they get booted this allows them to find another team without being penalized.
Thanks for understanding!
Tim
Think the thought, and Tim executes it! :)

See there you go again Tim...continual improvement, a man after my own heart something I continually strive for with my staff and my procedures.
Thanks,
Sandra

Good rule Tim. Some people seem to like to change at a whim. This will hopefully make things more considered.
Cheers

It's a good concept, limiting number of team switches, but I think 30 days is a little long. A month based limit (such as a maximum of 4 team joins per month) or a shorter period (10-18 days) would be plenty to limit people attempting to abuse teams without punishing those just trying to find a team that offers the right kind of support (activity requirements, overall activity, and general information). Or creating an exception with accounts under 2-4 months old.
I was a switcher in my beginning months, simply because the first time I went inactive and the second time my team was inactive. (Luckily third was a charm.)

I'm also on my 3rd team. Got booted twice. 3rd time has charmed me into over 2K bonus credits. Now if I could just recruit a tad more to feel like I'm pulling my weight.
Neither of my 2 sign ups ever activated. One even joined other TEs under me but hasn't activated on any of them. Perhpas it is just a time issue as her website looks nice. I saw it on a forum post.

Well, I'm on my fourth team now, and final considering I'm the leader, but the point was that it took more than one 'join' to find one that was a fit. :p I didn't list the boot from the third team because it was a positive separation.

30 days is not so long and i think is quiet fair-play for the teams and also for that member. Of course exceptions have to be done for the new members who don't know how the teams work, as Tim said.
In one thread about teams discussion my suggestion was to be made changes accepting/rejecting members at the end of each month.
But Tim's solution is a good one also.
Myself i've changed three teams, one was inactive, the second seemed to me to high at that time, and i've tried somehow a balanced team, the third one. And i've joined where i'm still now and i hope i'll be long time.
30 Days Waiting Period is a good solution for both part but more for the teams. One more exception i think has to be done if a member has booted for no real reason. In this case Tim has to judge the situation and decide for that member.
My friendly regards,
and
Happy Easter to all !

I was in another team a long time ago, but wasn't active in the forum then, so I really didn't learn what it was about.
I wish I had joined another team before I created my own so I would know more about what it was about, but I think I've got the hang of it now. :)
One thing is for sure: I LOVE IT! :)
The most important thing for a team leader is to listen to the team members, and to inspire and motivate. Leaving the team should be something the members wouldn't want to do voluntarily -- for the simple reason they feel at home there. Kind of a family.
So if they do, it's just as well that they are isolated for a while. :)
We have many great teams, and there's one for everyone. It's understandable that some will want to try them out, but a few days is too little to get the feel of a team, or to learn all about how it works.

Perhaps there can be a clarification on this...
When does the thirty days start? At the point you joined a team or at the point you leave a team?

30 days from leaving the team - it is effectively a 30 day cooling-off period from leaving the team to ensure people are not team-hopping :)

Actually 30 days from joining a team. So if you've been a long time member you can join another team anytime, but you won't be able to switch again.

I think that is a good idea Tim.
I have only lost 1 member the past 2 months who left voluntarily, which I consider quite lucky. It does hurt when you are in the building stage and someone you have invested in departs without comment.
