Members who were used to using the portal page on the old forum to get a list of new posts will be pleased to know there is an equivalent in this forum - it is the New Posts (http://forums.startxchange.com/search.php?do=getnew) link in the top menu of the forum.

This will display the list of total new messages, broken down into pages.

If you click the "Thanks" link next to someone's post, you can thank them without posting ;-)

This does two things: 1) It keeps thread clear of many thanks posts, which can make it hard when someone asks a question or what not to figure out if it's been answered or not =P 2) The thanks show up in the user's profile, so everyone can see who's very helpful!

So I encourage you to try using that rather than posting Thanks replies (I'm not upset, but I want it to become the norm to hit "Thanks")

That's because the image doesn't show. I'm also waiting for the button images to made bigger, so they become readable. :)

The thanks link is on the bottom FAR right corner of each post. There's no button, simply the word "Thanks." (without quotes) :)

Inge - Haven't heard from designer, if he doesn't email me tomorrow I'll try contacting him again. I like the style of the buttons so I don't want to use buttons that don't match the theme.

They can still match the theme! Take a look at the "Post Reply" button -- it could look like that, and it would still be consistent with the theme. I don't really see the point of using images that only show text either, but I guess that's just me.... :)

Just in case you don't hear back ... I've 'pinched' a couple of the buttons and am enlarging them ... at present they are a little fuzzy

:o Doh! .... Why didn't I think of that? .... I'll pinch that one and create a blank from it. That way, Tim will be able to maintain the theme and create any new buttons he needs.

The thanks button is at the far right of row of buttons at the bottom of the member post

I have now noticed that the Thank you only appears sometimes, I wonder if anyone else has noticed this. It does seem to be better though. I have also seen that it does disappear when I click on it, but it is not there on some other posts that I have not thanked.
