View Full Version : blank photo after I upload picture?

I have been trying to upload a new photo of myself and keep getting a blank black photo when I try and save. It also won't let me crop it before saving. Any suggestions?:confused:

are you trying to upload to the forum, or to StartXchange?

Remember that the startxchange image is a jpeg, so animations etc will not work :)

I tried to load to SX. It was a jpeg.

It is a bug in the system - we will trying to fix it as soon as Tim gets off his easter break :)

To upload a photo, go to your startXchange members area
click on Upload Photo, underneath Tools in the left hand menu
It is a 3 step process:
Step 1
select either Photo Upload if it is on your computer or Photo URL if it is online
enter the location (use browse if it is on your computer)
click on the upload photo button below it
Step 2
use the crop tool to select the part of the photo you wish to display - you can resize the area by dragging the corners in or out
click on the Save button
Step 3
You should now have 3 images of your new photo - if you like it - do nothing, if not restart using the link :)
