This one has stumped me!

When I surf on SE after this new version of FF I am guaranteed a crash within a few clicks, faster if I open a new tab eek!
Yet on this FF update I have quite happily surfed 2 other TE's with multi tabs and sites open no probs!

Have done all the FF tweaks suggested in their forum too! Yes I clear my cache every time I exit browsing, have uninstalled/ reinstalled FF 3x today, booted, rebooted - still NO for for SE

:p You are reading this courtesy of IE7 and Firefox is quite happy with 4 tabs open surfing on other sites too!
Help!! Tim ~~~ Anyone

It doesn't happen to me, but I can't load Webbizinsider.

I wrote to WBI webmaster and could load his site, but after the first click it doesn't load again.

I don't know how do I do.

Maybe it will be useful to write to Firefox?

Try clearing your cookies. A website I visit frequently noticed that users who upgraded while logged in couldn't load the page until they cleared their cookies.. Weird bug eh?

WebBizInsider has had some problems recently.
Nothing to do with your browser! :)

KK - just went back to Firefox to surf SE - ummm - ooohh bang! It all fell over with 1 page - yet the forum is ok on FireFox
So I did a Dr Watson, well I think I found the relevant bit maybe ---
below is paste
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
ERROR: Symbol file could not be found. Defaulted to export symbols for C:\Program
Files\Mozilla Firefox\js3250.dll -
function: js3250!js_GetSrcNoteOffset
------------------------------------------------------------------------
All my other regular sites on FF are woriking fine except for SE Surfbar

Yeah I'm not sure what to tell you. Nothing has changed on the surfbar :-/

That error just indicates that something on the SX surf page requires that js3250.dll file that should have been included in the FF update, but that file is either missing or corrupt. Since the updates are packaged I'm sure the file was included, so it more than likely got corrupted during the install (an incomplete download would also cause this).

Try manually downloading/installing the latest version and see if that fixes the problem.

YUP.! I had a problem with Firefox starting a week ago,Pages loaded slow.sometimes not at all. I tried to clear everything including cookies. and nothing helped. Then I saw Tim's "Knowledge Base" I decided to uninstall Firefox and reinstall the newer version and everything is working great.

Given up on FF for SE! - it even crashed in safe mode!
Currently using AMBrowser for here, but on FF have 3 sites open and no probs
Giggles - giving my clicking hand (and mouse!) lots of work today
Good news is ~~ my aged computer approaching retirement is coping very nicely with 2 browsers open at same time :)

Sorry but I think you will see my clicking rate go way down! I simply cannot click here using Firefox any longer, it just crashes all the time - just in FF( Opera, IE7 and AM Browser are all fine) despite removing my FF profiles, addons etc, uninstall, reninstall etc.

I have lost all my bookmarks in Firefox and addons there as a result too! As SE is the ONLY site that crashes firefox, I may just move on - strange, my other TE's are OK as all my PTR/PTC sites with many tabs open too - have any others had the same problem? - it even crashes in Safe Mode!

Kind Regards

soph (still repopulating my bookmarks )

When you're running Windows, all sorts of strange things happen. That's why I have disabled nearly all possibilities for getting strange software into my computer. It's very important to disable automatic execution of ActiveX and file download when you're using the Internet, and especially so when you are using TEs, because there are so many bad sites out there.
My experience is that if everything else fails, the last resort is to re-install Windows. I used to do that quite often before, but after I started taking these precautions I've been able to use the system for months without another re-install.

Remember: Using a damaged Windows can be an extra security risk.
If a full re-install of FF doesn't help, maybe you should consider a full Windows re-install. It's not an easy decision; usually it takes me the most part of the day do get it done including re-install of all programs and subsystems, and I have a fast computer.

Someone mentioned in another forum to check for updates for any plugins you might have. This could be one. Goto Tools - Add Ons and click Find Updates.

I wrote again to WBI webmaster and since yesterday all is OK.

After installing the lastest FF, I had all kinds of annoying freezes. I downgraded to a version I don't have problems with. Thanks to biz2001, I may uninstall FF altogether and then install the newest and see what happens.

Hi teddyrux98, do you happen to have an older version of FF? I'm looking to downgrade it too. I haven't had any major problems surfing SX on FF but my browser is really running mucho slooow...
