In the old forum you could find out it in the member list date base. Here i don't know.
From there i know exactly when i've joined StartXchange, that's the 10th of January 2007.

I just joined last week.I am trying to learn all the things to do with this type of web page advertizing.I seem to be getting a whole lot of looking but no one is asking for more information.Any ideas on how one can get more inquires?
So far the results are interesting. Lots of new users, and at least one besides Tim has been here since the start. Personally I started 2004 but was inactive for more than a year because of illness.
Boxer, a new user must be prepared for some disappointment at the dismal results. Apart from good websites only one thing helps: Advertising. The more you do, the better the results. You must find the methods that suit you. Traffic Exchange is one, and the one I prefer. Never could make other methods work for me.
With persistence you can eventually get a place in the front row. There's one road to failure, and that is giving up.

Why Inge? Only for statistic I think. However thanks, it's interesting if we all are voting.
For you all are not remembering the year: go to your email account you joined and find it!
Thanks for your time

Hard to remember, as if I were here for ages. I'd say since 2005 but
not sure. Like you, inge, I was here but not in a such active way!
BTW, WebBizInsider tells me it on my member page!

2003 for me in fact it was one of the first exchanges I ever used and is still the first one I open today so it just goes to show how good sx is and how it has kept pace with the needs of the membership!
I have recorded the details of every TE I have joined since I started using them. TrafficSwarm was the first, joined May 16, 2003. Went Pro in September that year, and very soon I started having a net income from it. Now I don't even have to surf it, since my downline gives me all the credits I need! :)
I joined StartXchange Aug. 24, 2004, but didn't upgrade until Aug.2007. Unfortunately I have no record of how much I have lost by being "free" that long" :) (But for a while before I was ill I had the "pro" membership).
When I start Windows, IE7 starts automatically in the upper left corner, with SX in surf mode. :)
The reason for the poll is just curiosity.

I joined in Sept.'07 & surf less often as don't know about team & forum then, as was active with couple other TEs.
Only got active surfing in SX on 18thFeb.'08 & slowed down after the change in activity points roll back. However, I still surf daily but I don't race up in the competition again.
Overall, I still find SX a meaningful & good TE with good forum. I was never interested in posting or writing in forum before unless necessary as it takes up a fair bit of time to search back post on replies & re-post.
Now, I still find searching back for the thread that we had post a reply an issue as they are so many posts now. Any easy find/search for that ?
Thanks..
Regards,
Frankie
There are many posts but the "new posts" button is a good help.
You can also search for posts in each forum. With the "advanced" option you can search for contents or member name.

Well, I actually answered wrong. I was thinking 2001, but it had to have been 2002. I joined thought MPAM and I joined there January 2002.
OK Sharon, so we have yet to find a REAL Veteran! :)
I'm a real youngster myself, with less than 4 years of experience with StartXChange! :)

Inge, Thanks.
Yes, I do use the 'New Posts' & 'Quick Links' which are good to look at the latest posts. Well for the 'Advanced Option', can't remember which thread we had added comments if it's many days ago.
I am looking at maybe a log for the post we had replied, added comments or ask a question.(You know, own personal log to track back). Just wondering as I can't find some of my post that I would like to see what comments are being added as some posts don't get replied immediately.

Frankie

You can track posts you have made by going to http://forums.startxchange.com/member.php?u=28
(to find your usernumber, simply hover your mouse over your name in a forum)
and selecting either
Find all posts by [username]
Find all threads started by [username]
all posts that have newer posts will have a red tick next to them.
You can also do it by tracking your subscriptions - if you set your options to subscribe to every thread you post to, you can use the List subscriptions option in your UserCP to show what threads you posted to, and if any have unread replies.

Gee, I had to scratch my head on this one ... I believe it was 2001, but could be 2002. I used an old email account to sign up, which I still use, but it was for all of the very first traffic exchanges that I ever signed up with ... and StartXchange was one of them. :)

Lol,
when I see so many members joining 2006. or 2007. aren't sure,
it's no wander for us, generation 2002/03. being unsure... :D
Anyway, it's really good having so many members,
no matter when one has joined.
Greetings to everyone,

I have no idea when I started because I no longer have the email I originally signed up with. I do know though that in November 2005 I changed the email account I used originally. So Ive been here a while. Not active all the time but been working on being as more active as possible. Its awesome being in this exchange, theres more happening than in most.

Hi Deha...,
I always join from either gmail or yahoo, so if I change computer nothingh happens, because my emails are stored at them.
I always use outlook only to write to my friends.
May I suggest you to do the same?
Thanks for your time

LOL
I do have a gmail account amongst others - I learnt a while back to never keep all your eggs in one basket, what would happen if gmail got hacked/crashed and lost all your mail?
DeHawkinz
Digression? :)
I also have gmail, but I use it with POP3 and SMTP so I have all the mail in my own e-mail program.
I make backups of my mail files, and I can put it on a memory stick if I move somewhere else or need to use another computer.
Nothing is left with gmail; when I fetch mail the mailbox there is emptied.

I don't remember. This new forum makes it look as though we are recent members. I would have to visit the old forum for the exact date - I think for at least a year.

I think maybe there are enough members here to start a "2007" team? :)

I joined in December 2006.
Absolutely love it, we were approaching 20K members at the time.
Adam
The statistics is very interesting. Most of the current members joined in 2007, and some in 2008. It's probably natural, but very few from the years 2001-2006 are still with us.
Evidently only very few people have the persistence to keep on for years. Or maybe they are just not in the forum. Personally I joined the forum as late as last spring/summer. Just didn't know how much I would appreciate it because I've been in forums before, and some of them have been more like idiot-clubs (Pardon the expression). Probably that's why I have never checked out Facebook, Myspace, Squidoo and whatever. I can't imagine that I would feel at home there, like I do here.
Am I missing something? :)

Inge, I doubt it somehow :)
I am not a member of these 'social networking' sites either - I have enough to do with my time without adding these to the mix - I have plenty of projects lined up waiting if I get the time :D
A good networker, will be able to network without the need for these places - we do it here after all :)
DeHawkinz
One of our networking gurus wants us to use systems like that to build report with people.
My question is: Would I want those people in my network?
And I doubt it.
