I have added a save box for my PMs but now I cannot figure out how to get the PMs there! Save is not in the list of options......

Select the messages you want to move in the PM list. Then scroll to the bottom of the list and there's a drop-down menu that includes "Move to folder..." as a default. Click go and it will give you a list a folders to move your selected messages to.
It is a little clunkier than before but the tools are still there. :)
I almost forgot :p, to navigate to your custom folders, click on the "Private Messages" header (one with orange or red background and a small white 'down' arrow). A script menu will come down with the list of folders.

Not really right in front of you, lol. In this software you have to do a LOT of exploring to find what you need (or check in here to see if someone else has already found it). This new program has a lot of bells and whistles that make it slick, but it's definitely not intuitive when it makes you jump through hoops to accomplish the simplest actions one needs every day - like clicking Delete then clicking Delete again below when deleting a single message, and checking selected items then selecting the Delete option from from a drop-down box instead of just having a Delete option at the top or bottom of the screen (that programmer must have been paid by the lines of code, rofl).
We'll all eventually get used to the way this one works. It will just take a while.

Well Su some day we can start a thread of "lets make it simpler" ideas for the forum. Then I can see if I can edit the templates or create plugins to make it simpler. I do agree with you on that one though, sometimes programmers have really crazy ways of making the interface and even crazier ways of putting the code together =P

Yes Tim, some programmers do. Luckily, you're not one of them. Your goal is always to keep things as clear and simple for us as you can - that way we can spend more time surfing and less time scratching our heads. ;)
Have you ever considered offering a KISS training class for programmers? Believe me, 90% of them desperately need that.

Great idea to collect ideas for simplification. I just love the feature of New Posts. Everytime I get a PM I also look at a couple of new posts, great to keep in touch easily.

I use the New Posts feature extensively - I usually use it to list all the threads, and then bounce from there to the busier individual boards to check on, eg. New Posts > Introductions > New Posts > Team DeHawkinz etc and once I have cleaned through the introductions and team borads just take the remaining threads individually from the New Posts list.
I have a browser set aside for SX - it has just 3 tabs open, SX members area, PMs, Forum I use multiple copies of browsers to divide what I am doing into smaller chunks - so a browser for SX, a browser for SX support, a browser for surfing, a browser for surfing admin, and so on. I just find it easier to keep track of what I am doing, and swap as needed between tasks.
