I've been doing SX for years but somewhere lost my mind file of what the reason is.
Yes you get them by clicking, promoting, referrals and posting on forum.
Do you get more Free credits by being a Level 10 verses a Level 11, if so, how much!
How is this tallied per level, how wide is a level?
And while I'm busy asking Stupid questions, I got another one!
Clicking yesterday, I was at -1195 on surfbar, on system roll-over at server midnight, I was then at -2495
Why and How Come?
You may have been in SX a long time but you can't have read the forum, where all these questions have been answered many times.
In short: No you don't get credits per level, but click the "Surfing Bonus" percents and get an overview of what gives bonus credits.
Levels are:
1 member in level 1
2 members in level 2
4 members in level 3
8 members in level 4
and so on. Levels are based on activity points, not credits.
You goal is restarted ever day, and tells you approximately how many more you'll have to surf to obtain your goal level.
Wiser now? :)

As Inge said, you get an increase on your surfing bonus depending on level
Level 1 +10%
Level 2 +9%
Level 3 +8%
Level 4 +7%
Level 5 +6%
Level 6 +5%
Level 7 +4%
Level 8 +3%
Level 9 +2%
Level 10 +1%
Level 11+ no bonus
How is this tallied per level, how wide is a level?
Level 1 Rank 1
Level 2 Rank 2 - 3
Level 3 Rank 4 - 7
Level 4 Rank 8 - 15
Level 5 Rank 16 - 31
Level 6 Rank 32 - 63
Level 7 Rank 64 - 127
Level 8 Rank 128 - 255
Level 9 Rank 256 - 511
Level 10 Rank 512 - 1023
Level 11 Rank 1024 - 2047
Level 12 Rank 2048 - 4095
Level 13 Rank 4096 - 8191
Level 14 Rank 8192 - 16383
Level 15 Rank 16384 - 32767
Level 16 Rank 32768 - 65535

There is no such thing as a stupid question, only questions you don't know the answer to :)
Remember some people will be totally new to the system, and so not have any idea how it works ;)
It sounds like you are talking about your surfing goal - if it is set to level 1 (the default for most older members who didn't edit it) then each night it will start the countdown to the number of sites required to acheive a 'middle of level' position for your target level.
Remember this is based on the following assumptions:
<> All activity points are won by surfing alone - ie it ignores all other sources such as forum, referring, purchases, newsletter, etc.
<> You surf at this level every day - ie if your goal was showing 500, and you surfed 500 in one day, you may not make it overnight as your rank is based on a 14 day average.
<> it is not 100% real-time, so other members around you who are also surfing may mean that you need to surf more to overtake them.

Hi smiley,
In SX, I also see the different in system roll-over as the points keep on decreasing daily if I am not wrong.
I was making noise a couple of times also in early March'08 over this issue in the old forum as I raced to lower Rank in 12 days at #11(can't recall exactly)& it shoot to a Higher Rank when the System Roll-over which I could not accept that time even though I was surfing 1000/1500+ page views daily.
Now I get over it & surf normally. With this Thread posted, I can live with it now. Actually, I enjoy the competitions initially but the priority is still getting the credits & promoting our programs.
Cheers..
Frankie
