Hi,

Will someone that knows please explain to me what the different classes of members means. You get a Junior Member, Team Leader, Team Leader etc. The best what I can gleem from searching the site, maybe all the wrong places, is that experience is the key. In this case experience = time on startXchange.

Well is that is the case I must point out there are members around for a long time, that surf a small number of sites, is free, never posted or used the forum, doesn't sign up for the newsletter, never had a referral, never promote SX and never joined a team. Are they experienced from doing nothing or very little?

On the other hand someone may be a member for a month and can tick all the above.

Please clarify for me.

Louis

Team leader status is just that the leaders of the teams on sx
Junior member means you havent posted many posts at least I think so lol
super moderator means they can access the whole forum and are at least nominally in charge
admin is the boss of the exchange Tim
team and then the name of a team for example team bunnies means the person is a member of that team

senior member means lots of posts

Of course some members are more than one of these as you say but that would be confusing to list them all

and I think its only used in the forum.

Hope this helps

It's based off of the post count in the forum. If you are on a team it'll say which team. Just a default forum feature ;-)

Everybody who is a forum member had to start over
when Tim changed to the new format...

Like anything else you have to start at the bottom
and work your way to the top...

You can "MOVE UP" with Determination, by being truly Motivated and,
willing to make a Commitment...Remember to stay Focused and that:

"The Level of Your Success is Strictly Up To You!"

Keep on surfing...

If you wanted a very simplistic hierachy, it would go like this:

Admin (Tim - xxclixxx) - can do just about anything he wants.
SuperModerator (Richard - dehawkinz) - can moderate all members posts, can access all team boards, can issue warning/infractions, some restrictions on admin functions.
Team Leader - can moderate their team board, otherwise ordinary member privileges in general boards.
Ordinary Member - their level of seniority depends on level of forum activity, can only amend their own posts.

Hope that helps :)

Great, feature. I am a member of Team Builder, yet still reflected as Junior Member ;)

Not that I mind to be the Junior member for a change. It is not always fun to be the senior old hand that must lead all the time. So Junior Member is just fine right now!

You may have enough posts to change the display. If you go to User CP, and go down the links on the left to group membership, you can select to display the name of team you are in.
