About Tracking & Clickthru Ratios

Hi,

Just wanted to find out if any of you track your splashpages (or landing pages) on the various TEs?

I've tried using unique splashpages for each TEs, each embedded with a traffic statistics tracker like statcounter or Google Analytics to track the actual traffic per day. Also, I use a tracking url (e.g. trackthat ad or adminder url) so that I can track what % of people actually click through my splashpage to my lead capture page (or squeeze pages).

The clickthru results actually correspond quite well to the Traffic Hoopla Top TE results (I haven't experimented on SX yet though) but the traffic generated results are really off in some TEs but as much as 10X less! I'm not too sure why, maybe it's because of the NoScript add-on for FF, but I've stopped surfing those TEs.

I notice many surfers don't use my technique, instead they just put up a lead capture page and just track the traffic statistics, so I don't know how they know which TE is more effective.

Anyone has any comments on my technique? How do you track your traffic stats and clickthru ratios?

I use splashpages, but don't track them, I learned it's unusefoul to me.

Hi

I use TEtoolbox's tracking. You'll get view tracking and click tracking. The problem with using javascript trackers is as you say, many have it disabled. It can also increase load time so it can drastically alter your stats. You might want to give TEtoolbox a try and see if it works better. I'll soon be adding result tracking too ;-)

Actually I use more than one method for
promoting and it depends on which site I
am advertising...so I cannot pinpoint what
works or not

As for tracking, I use ProfitRally...

I use tetoolbox tracking too I find its really helpful for the amount of click throughs to the amount of page shows Im only using it for competition pages at the moment but it is a tool that I would seriously recomend if you want to track your sites

I use statcounter too which is ok for the last 100 pages shown if you want to try something else I have found go stats very useful they seem to have stats for almost everything or did lol
