Maybe it is the time of day I surf, but it seems to me that fewer surfers are surfing at SX these days. Am I wrong?

Yes it does vary depending on the time
of day and the difference in time zones...
I noticed that it was slower around 8am
and has picked up since then (after 10am)

Maybe on sundays a lot of people are very busy with their real lifes.
Also we are going to the "well season", and so children to take to the park, the country, the sea.
I think this is the main reason Tim introduced "super saturday".:)
Take care

Sunday evening (afternoon US): 147 surfing. Not bad.

It seems however, even with the perks, surfing is down because Tim had to decrease the surfing bonus...just a guess
I noticed that the number of people on other TE varies as well...So it isn't only SX!

My credits seems to be depleting pretty fast.. so it seems like many surfers are surfing.. :)

The time of day is a factor when you take into consideration there are so many time zones covered and represented by the different people surfing. I can't really say that I have seen a drop, but I haven't been a member for as long as some.

I think it is more a factor of traffic delivery rather than bonuses. People who have alot of traffic to be delivered tend to surf less, because they see they have alot of credits assigned. There are tons of variables though, so these are only guesses. It could also be that some areas (like where I live) are having some really nice weather and people are going outside for the first time since winter. I know I want to right now =P
LOL funny though because then it'll reach summer and some (like myself) will stop going out because they can't stand the heat and need to be air conditioned!

I guess I have just been surprised to see the number of people surfing drop below 100. I notice the number of surfers at SX because of the splash pages with the number of people surfing...it seems the numbers are just lower than they have been before. I am still getting the traffic delivery so it is not a problem for me. Probably is the time of year when people would rather be doing other things...
When I start surfing in the morning, it's past midnight in USA, and the number of active surfers is usually around 80-90. If I surf in the evening it can go up to 150 or more. Still I also have the impression that activity is lower than it used to be -- but everything goes in waves, and what goes up must come down! :)
Unless it's a permanent decrease there shouldn't be any reason to worry.

Inge you sound like the resident GURU...are you?
What exactally is your affiliation with Tim, other than a member?
It's important for people to know because you have this authoritative personna and what you post comes accross as if it should be taken from the book of rules, according to whom?:)
I can only take that as a compliment.
I'm a regular member just like you, and I'm a team leader.
If I happen to write something wise, it has to be something I picked up somewhere, sometime. :)
