What site(s) or programs do you use to track your ads?

I use Profit Rally because of the ability to cloak your referral URLs!

Otherwise, somebody can come along and use the URL for their own...
And you lose out on any earnings for that program because your affiliate
number was removed!

I am afraid that without knowing just what type of ad you are referring to I am unable to give you an intelligent answer,at best I could give you an opinion.I fear we are all just making assumptions about what ad type you are using based on our own experiences.Yours may be very different.
If you wish to contact me or tell us all the exact manner of advertising you are using then I will be glad to help,or find out for you who can do the best for you at the best price, which hopefully will be free.
This is an area I have a great deal of experience in,not that I am an expert, just experienced.

Don't know if this will help -- I just have an e-store and my ads are promoting my site with the hope that someone will be interested in buying the glassware and collectibles I sell. I just want to know which ads are getting the clicks from which sites. TETool Box shows me which splash pages are getting the clicks but I have no way of knowing where the views are coming from. Has anyone used Hits Connect?

I am sorry, but you are still not telling me what ads you are using?are you are just promoting your own splash pages by traffic exchanges etc,or are you using paid per click ads or?

The very best thing you can do is to add sitemeter.com to your pages, not only will you know who landed on your page, but where they came from, and what if any links they clicked once they were there.
There is a free version that tells you most of this,or an upgraded version that you can use on as many sites as you wish for $6.00 per month.
I would suggest the free version and then if you like them consider upgrading if your traffic warrants the extra stats available.

Many of the sitecounter sites, such as sitemeter, statcounter, google analytics, gostats, etc will supply this sort of information so long as your visitor has javascript enabled, otherwise for the most part any site counter will only provide limited stats. Try out a few, and see which you get on with the best.

If you are hosting your site yourself, you should be able to get the raw stats from your hosting company, and use a stats analysis tool to get virtually the same information as you would from a site counter, but it does not use javascript :) I use weblogexpert - it has a free and a paid version.

Personally I have never used any of the paid tracking sites such as hits connect, pro tracker plus, etc as I have never been convinced that the information they provide is worth the monthly fee. Plus they all give you a performance hit, as you have to load their site and then be re-directed to your site which slows down load times, and so reduces your 'site view' time, which is why you are advertising on a Traffic Exchange in the first place :)

I am just using splash pages created at TEToolbox. No paid ads. Glad to know about the paid ad tracker services.
