Hello every one my name is Pete Fulham, I live in the uk with my wife and 3 children. I was made redundant last year from a major energy company. I was a team leader/software engineer, although I have had a traumatic time since July 2005 which has meant that I have had difficulty trying to get back into employment. I have therefore decided to try and earn from the internet. I am the chair of a registered charity (but not paid) in respect of the above trauma.

I hope to make a living from the internet but I have a very sceptical wife, and so long to get into a position where I am earning (rather than spending)and can get her more positive towards what I do. Her view at the moment is that I am just playing and wasting my time surfing. So any help or pointers and help would be appreciated.

Hi Pete,

Welcome to the forum.

There is no quick solution to how to earn from the internet, but plenty of people who will try to convince you they know the answer, usually for a fee :)

The main keys, are to be well known - branding; and to offer something that other people want - the best solution here is to find something you are good at already, eg script writing, webdesign, ad copy writing, etc.

Hi Peter!

Guessed you were British .... :)
We're here to help, so ask any questions you like. There are some restrictions as to what you can post in the forum; first of all blatant promotion. As you get acquainted with the forum you'll soon feel comfortable among all the positive and helpful people here.

Good luck!

Welcome Pete:

Hold on to your Dream; carve out some "immaculate quality time" for your family so they'll forgive You on days they feel invisible and consider Surfing Outside when it gets warmer to at least get a kiss of Sunshine.

I have a wardrobe of sunglasses - some of them are for working on-line. As my success gets brighter, I need darker shades :$
