The chance for winning the top prize three days in a row is so small that it raises suspicion. I've taken it up with support, who will be examining the case.
I probably use the same random function to calculate prizes for my team, and even twice in a row out of a selection of only 26 is very rare. Three in a row simply hasn't happened. The chance for that is 1 / 26x26x26.
If only 100 people are clicking each day, the chance of winning the top prize is .33 / 100 or 1/300.
The chance of winning the top prize three times in a row is then 1/300x300x300, or one to 27 million.
If pericles surfs 2000 pages a day and clicks the daily prize he would increase his chance by 20 a day but would still be a fairly slim one..... :)

I've reviewed the logs and don't beleive there was intentional foul play. There was a bug with the random prize script which was causing it to think he needed to win another prize quite often. And since the random prize page also gives you a ticket to the jackpot each day, he was having quite the chance of winning.

Of course this has now been fixed, and I'll be monitoring the situation.

Yes, I noticed...but he has or will take care of it...

He cannot snap his fingers and voila the matter is resolved...We need to give him time since he does have other responsibilities besides this Exchange...After all he is only human, not some machine like "Johnny Five" who can fix and do things at a super speed...LOL

Faster response will come if you send support request via email - it is usually checked daily if not more often, the forum is lower on my priorities.

Sometimes action will be taken without notification in the forum - just because we do not always post here does not mean we are not looking at it.

Try to use the support email system / live support rather than PM - both Tim and I can access the support systems, only one of us can access our PMs :)

Almost the only chance I have to listen to recorded music is when I go for a walk and remember to bring my MP3 player. I have lots of songs there; enough to listen for at least a day or two without hearing a song twice.
Among them are also the songs we rehearse with the choir.

Pink Floyd is my no. 1 favorite, and then the Moody Blues .... :)
I like Genesis too but I prefer Phil Collins solo.

Talking about these "oldies" really make me feel old, but a while back I sat in the car waiting for my wife, and Pink Floyd played on the radio. Two young girls came up to me and made a comment about them and their great music. I could only agree! :)

I agree about the memories good ones bad ones all that make who we are, its funny but I was listening to some sixties music yesterday and I was thinking of the time I was married to my ex-husband ugh.

We put country music on and it always reminds me of my dad who loves it and used to play it all the time when we were children artists like marty robbins and Johnny Cash as well as Farron Young and Charley Pride the last was my moms fav.

Many a time we used to go to sleep listening to the strains of el Paso or strawberry roan or boy named sue

I miss those days but at least I have the memories and the songs as we still listen to them today well I do lol I also like reba mcentyre (cant spell the last name) she is a modern country singer and she is awesome if you like country.

I saw Frank Zappa back in the early 80s. I thought he put on a cool show, and to think that he wrote all the music for each band member, and hired a different band every year (if I'm not mistaken).

I've seen several people win more than once; while I and others have yet to win 1 time even though we are surfing 100's of pages a day. It gets pretty discouraging after a while.

Be glad for your winnings, because if you don't win, what did you lose? Nothing at all! On the contrary! You did get a few credits or impressions, didn't you?

Yesterday, and on a few other occasion, something happened which made StartXchange not react to my click. I was not allowed to win.
THAT was a bit frustrating, but as long as I can click more than 10 times in a day anyway, it really doesn't matter.

Hi Tim & SX Members,

I would like to extend my gratitude & thanks to Tim & SX for the Surf Every 100 pages -Daily Random Winner.

I had seen post on unhappiness of members who did not win yet. It happen to me once a while if I surf over 1500+page views & see myself not been a winner for so long but now, I really did win again for putting in consistent effort.

Just to summarize, some would think that something is not right with the system & why you don't win. To simplify, it is just like buying a lottery ticket or entering a chance to win in a Lucky Draw for any Contest. When luck is on your side you might win a prize.

In SX, the chances of winning is better if you are an active surfer & furthermore we win a token prize everyday while surfing before we win a Grand Prize like the Daily Random Winners. It's for 'members only' so the chance is definitely better & higher, so we just have to wait for the drawing with a surprise that we won.

Hope this would help to enlighten our feeling or doubt of not winning yet. Yes, some might win a few times because they very active & surf more and that would increase their chances of winning.
